Our Manifesto

Technology has swept through industry, reshaping and empowering individuals: it’s easier than ever to sell online with Shopify, to run a restaurant with Toast, or to accept credit cards with Square. Things that once took teams of people and hundreds of thousands of dollars are now available to anyone, instantly.

Yet, while everything else moves faster and works better, running medical practices has gotten worse. Independent practices are bogged down by endless paperwork, redundant processes, and inefficiencies that frustrate patients and overwhelm providers. Technology hasn’t lightened the load. It’s added to it.

As a result, independent providers are disappearing. Between 1988 and 2022, the share of doctors who work in independent practices declined from 79% to 47%. This shift towards hospital-based employment has increased costs, worsened patient experience, reduced physician satisfaction, and failed to improve outcomes - the opposite of the quadruple aim.

These challenges are personal for us: our team has founded and grown independent provider groups; we have led operations at practices ranging from 3 to 2,000+ providers; and we have built software to support clinicians, their staff, and their patients.

Valerie Health's mission is to change this. We exist is to help independent practices thrive.

We do this by transforming how independent practices operate. We leverage AI to automate repetitive, time-consuming work that bogs down healthcare providers. We bring clarity, consistency, and speed to administrative workflows, getting patients access to care faster and at a fraction of the cost.

Doing this well requires more than technology; AI is not a silver bullet. It demands a deep understanding of how medical groups actually work: diving into clinic-level nuances and getting the mundane right, every time. It’s about understanding workflow, driving administrative efficiency, and elevating the experience for patients and providers.

At Valerie Health, we’re not just streamlining broken systems; we're creating something new. We are elevating practice management, creating a world where independent practices flourish, where providers are empowered, and where every patient is cared for.
